Самый распространенный тип пакета – пакет «подушка» с центральным швом вдоль оси пакета и двумя поперечными. Пакет-подушка – это универсальный пакет, легко вмещающий в себя жидкости, твердые продукты, порошки и практически любые другие продукты. С ним можно использовать любой соответствующий упаковываемому продукту существующий тип упаковочного материала.
Пакет может быть оснащен различными системами легкого открывания и повторного закрытия.
